Job summary

GlobalPoint is seeking an experienced Oracle Cloud Infrastructure specialist to manage and design Oracle OCI environments in Richmond, VA. Candidates must have strong expertise in Oracle technologies and must commit to on-call rotation for critical issue support.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and related technologies.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and architecture.
• Experience upgrading Oracle Database from 19c to 26i.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage Oracle OCI environments, including database, middleware, and infrastructure components.
• Develop and maintain Oracle APEX applications and ORDS services.

Contract Details

• Long‑term contract
• Location: Richmond, VA
• Some after‑hours and weekend hours required based on workload
• Candidate must participate in on‑call rotation

Required Skills

• 10+ years of hands‑on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and related technologies
• Oracle Application Express 18 and higher (APEX)
• Oracle Rest Data Services 22 and higher (ORDS)
• Oracle WebLogic Server 14 (both Fusion Middleware and WebLogic Suite)
• Oracle Database 19c and 26i
• Container Database (CDB) and Pluggable Database (PDB)
• Experience upgrading Oracle Database from 19c to 26i
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix, including shell scripting
• PDB cloning
• RMAN and backup/recovery procedures
