Job summary

Yakshna Solutions, Inc. in Richmond, VA is seeking an Oracle OCI Engineer to design and manage Oracle OCI environments, including database, middleware, and infrastructure components.

You will develop and maintain Oracle APEX applications and ORDS services, configure WebLogic, and plan upgrades, migrations, and recoveries. This role emphasizes high availability and proactive issue resolution, with collaboration across DevOps for reliable deployments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Oracle Database administration experience (19c+).
• 10+ years of Oracle migrations from Solaris to Linux (11g/12c).
• 10+ years of experience with Oracle backup, RMAN, and Data Guard.
• 10+ years of experience in Oracle performance tuning and DB management.
• 7+ years administering Oracle Grid Control (13c) and Oracle WebLogic 12c/Fusion Middleware.
• 5+ years of Oracle APEX administration; bonus for cloud/AWS/Azure and Windows/SQL Server/IIS.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage Oracle OCI environments, including database, middleware, and infrastructure components.
• Develop and maintain Oracle APEX applications and ORDS services.
• Configure and administer Oracle WebLogic Server and related technologies.
• Plan and execute database upgrades, migrations, and conversions.
• Implement and manage backup, recovery, and replication strategies using RMAN and other tools.
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and data protection.
• Monitor and optimize database performance, implementing tuning recommendations.
• Implement and automate routine tasks using shell scripting and tools like Ansible.
• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to ensure seamless application deployment.
• Proactively identify and resolve potential issues, providing timely support.
• Document and train on best practices for Oracle OCI environment management.

$95,000-100,000 annually with benefits. Max Vendor Rate: $84.97/HR.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with Oracle Database administration, including versions 19c and above.
• 10+ years of experience performing Oracle database migrations from Solaris to Linux (Oracle 11g/12c).
• 10+ years of experience with Oracle database backup, recovery, RMAN, and Data Guard.
• 10+ years of experience in Oracle database performance tuning, maintenance, and overall database management.
• 10+ years of experience providing on-call production support for Oracle database environments.
• 7+ years of experience administering Oracle Grid Control (including version 13c) and Oracle WebLogic 12c/Fusion Middleware.
• 5+ years of experience with Oracle APEX administration and support, with additional experience in Oracle Cloud, AWS/Azure administration, and Windows/SQL Server/IIS environments preferred.
