Job summary

Amazon Web Services in the United States is seeking an Oracle Migration Specialist Solutions Architect within the AWS Worldwide Public Sector team to own the full Oracle workload migration conversation. You will design target-state architectures and build business cases to prove cost efficiency while aligning with customer licensing needs.

You will collaborate with Sales Specialists, Professional Services and SI partners, deliver POCs and deep dives, and mentor field teams on licensing nuances

Qualifications

• 8+ years in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, or data & analytics.
• 3+ years design or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
• 10+ years IT development or implementation/consulting experience.

Responsibilities

• Assessing complex Oracle estates and delivering actionable migration architecture tailored to workload, licensing, and business constraints.
• Designing target-state architectures across ODB@AWS, RDS for Oracle, Aurora PostgreSQL, and EC2, including consolidation strategies.
• Building and presenting TCO-based cost savings and countering Oracle retention tactics.
• Delivering technical workshops, immersion days, and executive architecture sessions to accelerate deal velocity.
• Partnering with account teams, Professional Services, and SI partners to translate migration opportunities into pipeline and consumption forecasts.
