• Lead end-to-end global payroll solution architecture and issue resolution.
• Configure payroll elements, balances, costing structures, calculation rules, and advanced payroll logic.
• Manage federal, state, and local tax processing, year-end reporting, garnishments, and union/non-union pay structures.
• Oversee enterprise structures, legal reporting units, tax reporting entities, and workforce management alignment.
• Direct integrations between payroll platforms and financial/GL systems, third-party vendors, UAT, and cutover stabilization.

We are seeking an expert Enterprise Systems Architect specializing in HCM Payroll to troubleshoot, resolve, and optimize critical enterprise payroll processes. In this strategic role, you will bridge the gap between complex business requirements and technical execution, ensuring highly accurate wage calculations, statutory tax compliance, and seamless cross-platform integrations. You will serve as the technical authority driving solution design, system configuration, and post-implementation stabilization across complex, enterprise-scale environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end global payroll solution architecture, architectural workshops, operating model design, and critical issue resolution.
• Configure payroll elements, balances, costing structures, calculation rules, and advanced custom payroll calculation logic and formulas.
• Manage federal, state, and local tax processing, year-end reporting, statutory garnishments, and union/non-union collective bargaining agreement compliance.
• Oversee enterprise organizational structures, legal reporting units, tax reporting entities, and general workforce management alignment.
• Direct integrations between payroll platforms and financial/GL systems, third-party vendor connections (ADP, financial institutions, benefits providers), parallel runs, user acceptance testing (UAT), and cutover stabilization.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 10+ years in enterprise HCM implementations, with 7+ years specialized in enterprise cloud payroll across multiple full lifecycle deployments.
• Tech Stack: Advanced proficiency in cloud payroll calculation engines, complex payroll logic development, enterprise data extraction tools, business intelligence reporting, and cloud integration platforms.
• Domain Knowledge: Subject matter expertise in US and global payroll regulations, wage attachments, FLSA compliance, union/non-union pay structures, and General Ledger (GL) reconciliation.
• Education & Extras: Active enterprise cloud payroll and HCM certifications; Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or Human Resources; exceptional executive-level stakeholder communication skills.
