Job description

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Fusion HCM Cloud Analyst to join our client, a large academic health system in Indianapolis. The role requires one day per week in the Indianapolis office on Tuesdays. Remote candidates outside of Indianapolis may be considered.

The Oracle Fusion HCM Cloud Analyst will configure new functionality, enhance the existing processes and develop new processes, assist with integrations and provide troubleshooting for the Core HR and Payroll modules. The Oracle Fusion HCM Cloud Analyst will have a strong background in technical configuration of Oracle HCM Cloud along with strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic initiatives in collaboration with IT and business units to develop, implement, and support new ERP systems and enhancements, especially within Oracle HCM Cloud.
  • Act as a strategic business partner to assess user needs, define functional requirements, and support the development and testing of system solutions.
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot ERP systems and related applications, with a focus on Core HR, Payroll, Recruiting, and LMS modules.
  • Provide direct support to internal ERP users and ensure the secure and accurate operation of all system functions.
  • Oversee payroll system configurations including pay and deduction codes, tax cards, general ledger costing, and vendor bank setups.
  • Manage payroll processing activities, including run book documentation, payroll flow creation, upload testing, and end-to-end integrations for elements such as 401(k), tax withholdings, W-2s, ACH files, and time and attendance.
  • Support payroll self-service configuration and Common Paymaster compliance for Social Security tax reporting.
  • Map pay elements to W-2 boxes, own quarterly Oracle payroll release updates, and troubleshoot payroll issues across departments.
  • Configure Core HR functions such as onboarding checklists, employee directories, job structures, position management, salary grades, and business units.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot workflow processes (hire, transfer, promotion, termination, etc.) and ensure data integrity for all personal and sensitive employee information (PII).
  • Gather requirements and test system integrations that impact HR data and communications (e.g., Equifax, leave systems, ID/email generation).
  • Document and support regular system enhancements and participate in continuous improvement projects involving ERP and HR systems.

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience implementing, configuring, or supporting ERP applications, preferably Oracle HCM Cloud.
  • Advanced expertise in both Core HR and Payroll modules within Oracle, including technical configuration, workflow management, and process troubleshooting.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll operations including compliance, W-2 mapping, ACH processing, benefit deductions, and integrations with external systems.
  • Proven ability to support HR systems through full employee lifecycle processes and organizational structure configuration.
  • Demonstrated experience in gathering business requirements, creating test scripts, and validating system enhancements or integrations.
  • Skilled in cross-functional collaboration with HR, Finance, IT, and business leaders to support enterprise initiatives and resolve system issues.
  • Comfortable analyzing complex problems and applying strategic, scalable solutions using standard methodologies.
  • Strong project management, process modeling, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and stakeholder management abilities with a proactive, solutions-driven mindset.
