Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Specialist Solutions Architect for RDS for Oracle and Oracle Database @AWS. You will design, migrate, and operate Oracle workloads for AWS's largest customers, focusing deeply on RDS Oracle platforms and migration patterns.

You will mentor teams, publish content, and contribute to roadmaps while engaging in whiteboard sessions, architecture reviews, and high-stakes migrations across enterprise clients.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, or infrastructure.
• 3+ years designing or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
• 10+ years IT development or consulting in software or Internet industries.
• Experience in Oracle DB or related software development / technical support.
• Experience leading significant projects from concept to deployment.
• Experience architecting or operating Oracle solutions at scale (multi-TB, many connections).
• Software development experience (Python, Java) and fluency with AI tooling.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical advisor for customers migrating to RDS for Oracle and Oracle Database @AWS.
• Provide hands-on architectural guidance from design through production operation.
• Guide customers on RDS operational best practices including performance, HA, monitoring, maintenance, backup, security.
• Design and validate architectures leveraging RDS-specific capabilities.
• Partner with RDS team to surface pain points and influence feature roadmaps.
• Engage with engineers in whiteboard sessions and architecture reviews.
• Develop and publish technical leadership content and reference architectures.
• Advise customers on complex database migrations.
• Present at AWS events and customer workshops.
