Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Database Specialist Solutions Architect to design complete architectures using AWS database services and to lead technical workshops for US-based customers. You will help migrate on-premise databases to AWS managed services like RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, or ElastiCache, while collaborating with sales and product teams to deliver innovative data solutions.

You will engage executives and engineers alike, drive proof-of-concept projects, and stay ahead of trends

Qualifications

8+ years of technology domain experience across software, cloud, or data & analytics.
3+ years of design/implementation/consulting in applications and infrastructures.
10+ years in IT development or implementation/consulting in software or Internet industries.
Strong knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, ElastiCache).
Experience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executives.

Responsibilities

Provide deep technical expertise and strategic guidance for AWS Database Services.
Lead architectural reviews and workshops on database use cases and best practices.
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to develop customer solutions.
Present at industry events and educate customers on AWS data management workloads.
Support migrations from on-premise databases to AWS managed services.
Stay current with DB, analytics, and GenAI trends to drive customer innovation.
