Job summary

Innova Solutions seeks an Oracle Database Administrator / Reports Developer for a 12+ month contract in Rancho Cordova, CA. The role is a full-time contract (W-2) focusing on database design, performance tuning, and cloud-based AWS/Aurora deployments.

Required is at least 5 years as an Oracle DBA, strong SQL/PL-SQL, and experience with Delphix masking and virtualization. Onsite work with a competitive pay range of $53–$58 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Oracle DBA.
• Designing and maintaining schemas based on business and application requirements.
• Supporting application releases: managing schema changes, data migrations
• Experience in Performance Tuning, Aurora Postgres, Aurora MySQL, Delphix Masking, Delphix Virtualization
• Troubleshooting SQL performance issues related to application code.
• Collaborating with developers to optimize SQL queries and procedures. Ensuring application/database compatibility during upgrades or new releases
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for database deployments.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate actively with developers, architects, and business analysts.
• Knowledge on Delphix and Delphix Virtualization for masking.
• Proficiency in one or more RDBMS platforms: Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL (AWS Aurora).
• Understanding of database architecture, schema design, and data modeling.
• Advanced SQL, including query optimization and performance tuning.
• Experience with PL/SQL, PG-PSQL, or appropriate procedural languages; knowledge of indexes, partitions, triggers, and constraints.
• Monitoring & troubleshooting using OEM, AWS CloudWatch, and performance insights tools.
• Execution and tuning of backup/restore and disaster recovery strategies.
• Maintain and tune application databases for optimal performance.
• Support SDLC with schema, scripts, and release management.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application-data related issues; ensure database reliability, security.

• Support software development lifecycle (SDLC) with schema, scripts, and release management.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application-data related issues. Ensure database reliability, backup, and security.
• Diagnostics and resolution of database-related incidents in production or development environments.
• Security and Compliance Managing database security (user roles, access control, encryption).
• Supporting audits, compliance checks, and adhering to regulatory standards.
