Job summary

Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center is seeking an OR Tech II responsible for assisting with surgical procedures and ensuring a safe environment within the operating room. Job description

Hourly Wage Estimate: $37.84 - $44.56 / hour

Job Summary

The OR Tech II is a non‑licensed skilled and experienced person who is responsible under the direct supervision of a registered nurse for selected tasks in the administration of patient care within the C/S or operating room suite. The OR Tech II reports to the Registered Nurse on each case and to the Clinical Manager and the Director of Surgical Services.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with surgical procedures in scrub duties.
  • Assist in the orientation, training, and education of new personnel.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and aseptic environment for all patients.
  • Perform all related duties as assigned and directed.
  • Facilitate the provision of individualized patient care.
Qualifications
  • High school graduate required or equivalent, college prepared preferred.
  • Completion of OR Tech course from an accredited school.
  • Surgical Technologist Certification preferred.
  • Precept new employees and students.
  • Three years of training or experience in multiple specialties in an acute‑care facility.
  • Able to perform 80% of procedures.
  • Participate in an administration approved project, at least one of those projects being an employee identified project.
  • Actively participates in preference card edits.
  • Current BLS certification.
