UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital in Florida is seeking a Surgical Technologist to maintain an aseptic environment in the Perioperative arena under supervision of the Director, Manager, Charge Nurse, and RNs.

Responsibilities include supporting routine surgical and diagnostic cases with surgical conscience and clear communication in English. This PRN, 0.10 FTE position is based in The Villages, FL, with flexible hours and a focus on patient safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• English reading, writing and speaking required.
• Post-high-school training completed.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Director, Manager, Charge Nurse, and RNs, the Surgical Technologist is responsible for providing an aseptic environment within the Perioperative arena. Surgical conscience is of the utmost importance. Must be well versed in the basics of routine surgical and diagnostic cases.

Qualifications

Education

Required: Post High School Special Training

Licensure/Certification/Registration

Required: Basic Life Support (BLS)
Preferred: Surgical Technology Certification and strongly encouraged within 2 years of employment
