Job summary

UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital is seeking a part-time Surgical Technologist to support the perioperative team in The Villages, FL. The role requires maintaining an aseptic environment and assisting with routine surgical and diagnostic cases under supervision.

The ideal candidate will have a Surgical Technology certification or LPN license, BLS, and the ability to read, write, speak and understand English. On-call coverage is required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Proficiency in perioperative aseptic techniques and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide an aseptic environment within the perioperative arena.
• Assist in routine surgical and diagnostic cases under supervision of RNs and managers.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Director, Manager, Charge Nurse, and RNs, the Surgical Technologist is responsible for providing an aseptic environment within the perioperative arena. Surgical conscience is of the utmost importance. Must be well versed in the basics of routine surgical and diagnostic cases.

Schedule

FTE: .50 (part-time)

Days: Variable

Hours: Variable

Location: The Villages, FL

Position requires on-call coverage.
