Job summary

UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital in The Villages, FL seeks an Operating Room Technician to support a fast-paced perioperative team. You will help maintain an aseptic environment and contribute to patient safety during surgical and diagnostic cases.

Applicants must read, write, speak and understand English, have post-high school training, and hold a Basic Life Support certification. Surgical Technology certification is preferred within 2 years of employment.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Director/Manager/ Charge Nurse/ and RNs, the Operating Room Technician is responsible for providing an aseptic environment within the Perioperative arena. Surgical conscience is of the utmost importance. Must be well versed in the basics of routine surgical and diagnostic cases.

Schedule

FTE: 1.0

Hours: 12:00pm-11:30pm

Days: Monday-Friday

Location: The Villages, FL

Education

Required: Post High School Special Training

Licensure/Certification/Registration

Required: Basic Life Support (BLS)

Preferred: Surgical Technology certification preferred and strongly encouraged within 2 years of employment
