Job summary

UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital in Florida is hiring a Surgical Technologist to support the perioperative team. The role emphasizes maintaining an aseptic environment and surgical conscience during routine and diagnostic cases.

Under the direction of the Director, Manager, Charge Nurse, and RNs, you will ensure on-call coverage and participate in patient care from pre-op to post-op.

Qualifications

• Surgical technology certification or LPN license.
• BLS certification.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Provide an aseptic environment within the perioperative arena with high surgical conscience.
• Assist with routine surgical and diagnostic cases as directed by the team.
• Support the perioperative staff under the supervision of the Director, Manager, Charge Nurse, and RNs.

Surgical conscience is of the utmost importance. Must be well versed in the basics of routine surgical and diagnostic cases.
