Job summary

UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital is seeking an Operating Room Technician to uphold aseptic conditions in the perioperative arena and support surgical and diagnostic cases under supervision. Strong emphasis on surgical conscience and teamwork with RNs and managers.

The role requires post high school special training, BLS certification, and English proficiency; Surgical Technology certification is preferred within 2 years of employment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Surgical Technology certification preferred within 2 years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain aseptic environment within the perioperative arena.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Director/Manager/ Charge Nurse/ and RNs, the Operating Room Technician is responsible for providing an aseptic environment within the Perioperative arena. Surgical conscience is of the utmost importance. Must be well versed in the basics of routine surgical and diagnostic cases.

Schedule

FTE: 1.0

Hours: 12:00pm-11:30pm

Days: Monday-Friday
