Job summary

Qualifications

• Associated degree is required; higher certifications are a plus.
• Active RN license issued by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
• CNOR and/or CPAN/ CAPA certifications are preferred, especially for OR or PACU roles.

Responsibilities

• Lead nursing staff within the hospital's philosophy, standards and goals.
• Serve as clinician, educator, consultant and manager for patient care and team members.
• Maintain required competencies to perform the nurse's role safely and legally.
• Assist nurse manager with scheduling, quality outcomes and budgeting tasks.
• Support HR activities related to nursing staff as needed.
