Job summary

CHRISTUS Health’s Surgical Hospital in Corpus Christi, TX is hiring a Certified Surgical Technologist for a 5 day/8 hour shift in the OR. You will assist in pre-op and intraoperative care, maintain sterile technique, prepare the room, and pass instruments to the surgeon under supervision.

Experience preferred; BLS required; certification within 180 days of graduation. The facility offers a team-based environment with focus on patient safety and quality outcomes, including orthopedic procedures

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of the Surgical Technology program or an accredited LVN/LPN program.
• 2 or more years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in the OR under supervision.
• Maintains aseptic technique and sterile field.
• Prepares patient skin and transports to the OR.
• Passes instruments and assists the physician.
• Performs case setup and maintains equipment and supplies.
