Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a healthcare field or Surgical Technology program with 5–7 years of experience.
• Surgical Technologist certification.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain aseptic technique in sterile and unsterile roles in the OR.
• Assist circulating RN to maintain a sterile field and monitor technique.
• Perform sponge, instrument, and needle counts with the circulating RN.
• Assist with gowning/gloving and positioning of surgeons and equipment.
• Pass sterile instruments to the surgical team during procedures.
• Position patients and assist with retractors under the surgeon's direction.
• Prepare supplies and equipment following established preference cards.
• Assist with sterilization and upkeep of sterile and non-sterile items and equipment.
• Monitor inventory, place orders, and restock supplies.
