Qualifications

• One year certificate from a college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3-5 years’ specialty experience.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competent scrub skills during the entra-operative phase.
• Follows sterile technique and handles medications and specimens per policy.
• Assists in preparing the surgical suite for procedures.
• Contributes to division, hospital, and department goals.
• Performs sponge, needle and instrument counts.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
