Live Well Homecare seeks a Surgical Technologist to prepare the operating room, sterilize equipment, and support surgeons and nurses during procedures.

You will practice aseptic techniques, pass instruments, verify surgical site and specimens, maintain counts, and participate in Time Out/Universal Protocol to ensure patient safety and quality care. This role requires strong attention to detail, teamwork, and commitment to ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a specialty training program is required.
• Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques, attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to safety standards are essential.

Responsabilités

• Prepare surgical instruments, supplies, and the operating environment according to surgeon preferences.
• Practice aseptic techniques, including scrubbing, gowning, gloving, and draping.
• Assist in surgical procedures by passing instruments and verifying surgical site and specimens.
• Maintain accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments, and ensure all medications and solutions are labeled correctly.
• Participate in surgical safety protocols such as Time Out and Universal Protocol.
• Report concerns impacting patient care and contribute to problem resolution.
• Adhere to policies, protocols, and standards of care, including ongoing education requirements.
