Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program (CAAHEP).
• Military training as a surgical corpsman or medic.
• Minimum of 3 years hands-on scrub experience.
• Current BLS certification maintained throughout employment.
• Successful completion of OR orientation and skills competency evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment.
• Ensure a sterile environment and uphold principles of surgical asepsis.
• Collaborate with surgeons and the team, anticipating needs during procedures.
• Adapt quickly to changes in patient condition or procedure requirements.
• Mentor and assist surgical technologists new to the OR.
