Job summary

Lakewood Medical Center is seeking an Operating Room Surgical Technologist to join our surgical team in Kansas City, Missouri. This full-time position requires 40 hours per week with a varied schedule, contributing to safe, efficient patient care in a fast-paced OR environment.

Responsibilities include preparing instruments, maintaining sterility, and collaborating with surgeons to anticipate needs during procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program (CAAHEP) or equivalent.
• Formal military training as a surgical corpsman or medic accepted.
• Minimum of three years of hands-on scrub experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, organize, and maintain surgical instruments and equipment.
• Maintain sterile environment and uphold principles of asepsis.
• Collaborate with surgeons and team, anticipating needs during procedures.
• Adapt to changes in patient condition or procedure requirements.
• Mentor and assist surgical technologists in orientation.
