Job summary

Qualifications

• Technical certificate from an accredited Surgical Technician program.
• Preferred CST certification (NBSTSA) upon hire.
• Less than 1 year experience as Surgical Technician.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the Operating Room for surgical procedures and organizes equipment.
• Assists the surgeon as scrub person and maintains a sterile field.
• Assists the circulating nurse with instrument accounting and setup.
• Operates sterilization equipment and maintains safety and QA standards.
• Uses computers and handheld devices to track instruments and inventory.
