Job summary

PeaceHealth is seeking a Surgical Technologist for Peace Island Medical Center in Friday Harbor, Washington. In this role, you will assist the surgical team during operations, maintaining the sterile field and ensuring compliance with safety initiatives. This position requires an accredited training program, a minimum of one year of experience, and relevant certifications. The work schedule includes 8-hour day shifts with no weekends or nights. Qualifications

• A minimum of 1-year Surgical Technologist experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge in applying age-specific principles.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Surgical team during operative procedures.
• Maintain sterile field for the operative patient.
• Inventory sterile setup and pass items to the surgical team.
• Cleans, disinfects, and sterilizes instrumentation.

Skills

Well organized, detail oriented and self-motivated

Ability to coordinate activities and work collaboratively

Ability to execute detailed procedures with accuracy

Basic computer/keyboarding skills including MS Office

Understanding of operating room protocols

Education

Accredited Surgical Technology Program

Washington State Surgical Technologist Registration

Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support Certification

Certified Surgical Technologist (preferred)
