The Surgical Technician will prep ORs and instruments, maintain a sterile environment, anticipate needs of the surgeons, assist with patient positioning, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and staff to promote positive outcomes. High school diploma required; surgical tech program preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program preferred.
• Six months of prior healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists the surgical team in preparing for and performing procedures safely and efficiently.
• Prepares operating rooms, surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures.
• Maintains a sterile environment and follows infection prevention and safety protocols.
• Anticipates the needs of surgeons and other team members during procedures.
• Assists with patient positioning and preparation as appropriate.
• Handles surgical instruments and supplies according to established procedures.
• Collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support positive patient outcomes.
• Follows hospital policies regarding patient safety, confidentiality, and infection control.
