Job summary

Providence St. Joseph Medical Center is seeking a Surgical Technician to assist the surgical team, set up sterile fields, and support the circulating nurse.

You will ensure equipment is ready, handle specimens, and participate in a range of perioperative tasks within a collaborative environment. The role offers exposure to a comprehensive benefits program and a culture focused on patient-centered care and teamwork across departments.

Qualifications

• Coursework/Training - graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech Program.
• National Certified Surgical Technologist - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain a sterile field and assist the surgeon as necessary.
• Assist circulating nurse and other members of the surgical team.
• Maintain familiarity, function and proper care of OR equipment and instruments.
• Initiate responsibility for care of specimens and perform related duties as assigned.
