Job summary

Central Valley Medical Center in Utah is seeking an OR Surgical Scrub Nurse to support general surgery through orthopedics. This full-time day position involves 3-12 hour shifts with night and weekend call rotation, focusing on maintaining the sterile field and assisting surgeons.

The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an active Utah RN license and current CPR/ACLS/PALS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Graduation from accredited School of Nursing.
• Current Utah RN license, CPR, ACLS, and PALS certification.
• Minimum of one year of work experience as Surgical Scrub Nurse.
• Preferred: OR Technician program or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assists with surgical procedures from general surgery to orthopedics.
• Acts as primary scrub handling instruments, supplies and equipment during procedures.
• Vigilantly maintains the sterile field at all times.
• Helps maintain equipment, instruments and inventory.
• Note: This is not a Registered Nurse Circulator position.
