Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking a dependable environmental services worker to maintain clean, safe patient areas and non-patient spaces across the hospital. Responsibilities include daily cleaning with approved products, rest room sanitation, and terminal cleaning of patient rooms at discharge to prepare for new admissions.

You will interact with patients, visitors and staff to ensure a high standard of service while following infection control procedures and PPE guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year of working experience preferred, but not required.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills required.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient areas daily with approved germicides and cleaning chemicals.
• Cleans non-patient areas such as nurses’ stations, offices, waiting rooms and restrooms.
• Discharge rooms at patient discharge to prepare for new admissions.
• Interact daily with patients, visitors and staff to promote a service attitude.
• Follow infection control procedures and use PPE as required.
• Follow department policies for equipment placement and cleanliness of rooms.
