Job summary

The Instrumentation Coordinator at The Ohio State University’s Ambulatory Services | OCNA Central Sterile coordinates daily OR and Central Sterile Processing activities to support efficient surgical case flow. Responsibilities include cart assembly, decontamination, preparation, sterilization and high-level disinfection.

Minimum one year of sterile processing or Surgical Technologist experience is required, along with HSPA or CSPDT certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of sterile processing or Surgical Technologist experience.
• HSPA certification or CSPDT certification required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily activities between the OR and Central Sterile Processing to ensure efficient case flow.
• Oversee cart assembly, decontamination, preparation, sterilization and high-level disinfection.
• Assist with projects, process improvements and inter-department communication across the Health System.
• Build case carts according to surgeon preference cards and ensure instruments are available and properly maintained.
