Job summary

The Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Cross Functional Associate to support operating rooms and sterile processing. You will help with instrument processing, room turnover, supply management and ensure safety and regulatory compliance across procedures.

In this role, you will assist with equipment transport, patient positioning, and transfers under medical staff direction, while maintaining high quality standards and collaborating with team members to maintain smooth OR workflow.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 0–3 months related experience and/or training.
• CPR – American Heart Association within 60 days.
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate

Responsibilities

• Maintains OR and SPD cleanliness and sanitation.
• Completes SPD tasks under direct supervision.
• Anticipates equipment needs and transports to OR.
• Restocks supplies and prepares rooms for cases.
• Assists with patient positioning and safe transport.
• Follows safety protocols and uses PPE.
• Transports specimens to lab with proper ID.
• Obtains blood products from Blood Bank per procedure.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
