Carle Health is seeking an SPD Liaison to serve as the crucial link between the Operating Room and Sterile Processing Department. You will ensure instrument availability, oversee inventory, and communicate workflow needs to support safe, efficient patient care.

Qualifications

• CSPDT (CBSPD) or CRCST (HSPA) or CST (NBSTSA) certification required.
• 1+ year sterile processing or surgical technology experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in resolving problems for OR services regarding instrument processing.
• Support decontamination, assembly and sterilization of loaner trays per AAMI and Infection Control guidelines.
• Monitor vendor compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with Perioperative Instrument Coordinators to replace and repair instruments.
• Work with Inventory Specialist to resolve supply issues.
• Conduct daily rounds with operating rooms to assess instrument and supply needs.
• Verify instruments and trays are scanned to the correct operating room or storage location.
