Position: Scrub Tech, OR, Team Lead

The Scrub Tech, OR, Team Lead is responsible for facilitating, coordinating, and evaluating unit activities to ensure the provision of quality patient care. The Team Lead reports to Nursing Leadership and serves as a role model by providing guidance in patient care processes, quality improvement standards, and organizational goals. The primary role involves clinical leadership and facilitation within their service line area. Additional duties may be assigned within the scope of the role.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Completion of a Scrub Tech or Scrub Tech First Assist perioperative training program or an accredited Surgical Technology program/school.
2. At least 3 years of progressive surgical experience preferred.
3. Evidence of commitment to continuing education.
4. Current role as a Scrub Tech or Scrub Tech First Assistant required.
5. License/Certification: BLS required; CST required within 12 months of hire.
6. Proficiency in computer use.
7. Knowledge of regulatory agencies to ensure compliance.
8. Strong understanding of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and document composition.
9. Ability to scrub effectively.
10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
11. Ability to cope with stressful situations and adapt to change.
12. Ability to prioritize work tasks and demonstrate good guest relations.
13. Strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and customer relation skills.
