Job summary

Ohio County Hospital in Hartford, KY is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to function as a scrub person during operative procedures. You will assemble supplies, maintain a sterile field and anticipate needs of the surgical team while promoting the organization’s mission and safety standards.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent with graduation from an accredited surgical technology program; BLS within six months is also needed and one year perioperative

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; GED within 6 months may be allowed.
• Required: Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate operative procedures by preparing sterile instruments, supplies and equipment.
• Maintain sterile field and respond to surgical team needs.
• Assist with placement of sterile drapes and provide instruments during procedures.
• Prepare and organize sterile supplies and instruments for the procedure.
• Ensure sterility of the field and take corrective actions as needed.
• Post-procedure cleaning of the room and preparation for next patients.
