Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited surgical technologist program is required.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• 1 year experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Functions as scrub person during operative procedures by assembling supplies and equipment.
• Prepares and organizes sterile supplies and instruments for procedures.
• Assists with placement of sterile drapes and provides instruments to the team.
• Maintains an organized sterile field and ensures sterility.
• Assists with post-procedure room cleaning and prepares the room for the next patient.

# SURGICAL TECH (58532)CADIZ, KY 42211## OverviewPosition TypePRN## Description**Purpose of Job:****This position has the responsibilities to promote the mission, vision, and values of Trigg County Hospital. Function as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures by assembling supplies and equipment required for the procedure; preparing and organizing sterile supplies and instruments for the procedure; performing account procedures in concert with the RN circulator; assisting with placement of sterile drapes; providing instruments and supplies to the surgical team during the procedure; maintaining an organized sterile field; ensuring sterility of the field and taking corrective actions as needed; and preparing sterile dressings, clean and prepare surgical instruments for processing and transport them to the decontamination areas.
