Job summary

Major Hospital in Indiana seeks an OR nurse to support surgeons, nurses and staff in a fast-paced surgical suite. You will prepare sterile tables, assist with gowning, gloves and instrument handling, and help with post-op cleaning and patient transport.

The role requires RN licensure in Indiana and a nursing school background with orientation. Scrubbing experience is valued but not mandatory, and the team relies on strong teamwork and attention to sterile technique.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. BSN or obtain within 6 years.
• Must possess a current Indiana license as a Registered Nurse.
• One year scrubbing experience preferred but not required.
• Experience gained through an approved School of Nursing plus hospital orientation.

Responsibilities

• Assist doctors, nurses and operating room staff.
• Set up the sterile table for procedures and anticipate needs.
• Assist with donning gowns, gloves and masks and pass instruments.
• Clean and sterilize instruments following procedures.
• Transport patients to and from the operating room and help move equipment.
• Maintain equipment supplies and operate OR machinery as needed.
