Tenet Healthcare operates Berry Surgery Center within DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital seeking a Surgical Scheduling Coordinator to manage OR case schedules and ensure efficient utilization of surgical services. You will coordinate physician blocks, equipment, and staff while maintaining data integrity in hospital systems and supporting policy development.

The role requires two or more years in a hospital or surgical office setting, plus strong computer and scheduling skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Up to one year of technical or specialty training preferred.
• Two or more years of related hospital or surgical office scheduling experience with leadership/oversight.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate OR case scheduling, estimate surgeon time, assign staff and equipment.
• Manage additions/cancellations and resolve scheduling conflicts.
• Monitor OR block utilization and report findings to leadership for optimal use.
• Maintain scheduling data in hospital information systems and ensure data accuracy.
• Train/orient staff and implement boarding process policies for efficient operations.
