Qualifications

• Florida Registered Nurse license required; compact licensure acceptable with active FL RN within 60 days of hire.
• ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN Required, BSN Preferred

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery and assess perioperative needs.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and perioperative process.
• Manage patient preparation including IV therapy and preoperative meds.
• Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols.
• Recognize emergencies and respond promptly while ensuring safe nursing care.
• Deliver high-quality care within evidence-based practices and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support patient care and workflow.
• Document patient condition and changes accurately; communicate updates.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and follow-up.
