Medical City Dallas is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Endoscopy/Operative Lab team. You will evaluate patients pre-operatively, educate families, manage IV therapy and medications, and ensure surgical site verification in line with hospital policy.

Working in a dynamic interdisciplinary environment, you will apply evidence-based practices, monitor patients throughout shifts, and contribute to safety and quality improvements. On-call may be required outside business hours.

Formación

• ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• PALS must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• RN - Registered Nurse
• Associate Degree Required
• BSN Preferred

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery
• Provide patient and family education surrounding the procedure and peri-operative process
• Assume responsibility for patient preparation, including intravenous therapy and preoperative medications
• Participate in surgical site verification, including briefing, time out, debriefing, and universal protocols
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care following evidence-based practices and continuous improvement initiatives
• Be an integral member of a dynamic interdisciplinary team that includes providers and surgeons
• Consistently apply nursing process, critical thinking, and leadership to deliver safe care
• Assess patient condition, monitor during shift, and document changes thoroughly
• Educate patients and families about medical condition, treatment, and follow-up measures

Basic Life Support

PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support

RN (Registered Nurse)

2+ years hospital setting
