Job summary

Medical City Las Colinas is seeking an RN for the Endo OR in a PRN role. You will evaluate patients preoperatively, educate families, and manage IV therapy, preop meds, and site verification.

Qualifications

• RN – Registered Nurse license to practice.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide education to patients and families about procedures and peri-operative process.
• Prepare patients including IV therapy, preoperative meds, and site verification.
• Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care with evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in the OR.
• Apply the nursing process, critical thinking, and leadership in care.
• Monitor patient condition and document changes throughout shift.
• Educate patients/families about condition, treatment and follow-up.
