Kings Surgical Center in New York City is seeking a detail-oriented RN to join the Operating Room team. The RN will provide perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced ambulatory setting, ensuring patient safety and sterile technique while collaborating with surgeons and anesthesia providers.

Qualifications include a NY RN license, BLS required with ACLS preferred, and 1+ year in OR/perioperative nursing. Fluent English is essential, with bilingual skills highly preferred; occasional training in

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited nursing program preferred.
• Current New York State RN license.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• 1+ year OR/perioperative nursing experience preferred; ambulatory surgery a plus.
• New graduates with perioperative rotations may be considered.
• Fluent in English; bilingual skills strongly preferred.

Responsabilités

• Prepare operating rooms, equipment, instruments, and supplies for procedures.
• Perform pre-operative assessments and verify patient identity, site, procedure, and consent.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection control throughout procedures.
• Serve as circulating nurse, coordinating OR activities.
• Monitor patient safety, positioning and comfort before, during, and after surgery.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Document perioperative care in the EMR.
