Job summary

Specialists One Day Surgery Center in New York is seeking a dedicated Operating Room Nurse (RN) to support patient care and surgical teams. You will circulate and scrub, document care, and help maintain safety standards.

Requirements include a current NYS RN license, BCLS; ACLS/PALS preferred; 1-2 years OR experience with scrub and circulating duties; strong communication with providers, patients, and peers.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist in organization and daily function of the operating room.
• Plan, implement, and assist in oversight of patient care.
• Circulate and scrub cases as assigned.
• Support procedural teams to ensure patient safety and efficiency.
• Assist with room turnover and case prep per sterile technique.
• Adhere to time-out procedures and Universal Protocol standards.
• Maintain high safety standards for patients and staff.
• Document care accurately per center policies.
• Monitor stock levels, supplies, and equipment needs.
• Promote safety, efficiency, and patient-centered care.
• Participate in quality improvement, infection-control practices, and performance metrics.
• Collaborate effectively with proceduralists, anesthesia, techs, and staff.
