Job summary

HCA HealthONE Swedish in Colorado is hiring an OR Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Services team. You'll be part of an interdisciplinary environment and contribute to patient care with specialized perioperative skills.

Expect responsibilities such as preparing for procedures, maintaining stock and equipment, assisting with post-procedure tasks, and mentoring staff. A BSN is preferred, and CO RN licensure is required, CNOR preferred, with BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multi-state Registered Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
• One year minimum experience in the perioperative (OR) setting is required.
• CNOR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for each procedure and/or surgery by ensuring adequate stock and equipment is available in areas as assigned.
• Assist with post-procedure workload including cleaning room between procedures and setting up for the next procedure.
• Teach, supervise, and serve as a resource person and delegates in accordance with competency level of staff.
• May rotate to areas other than OR and perform only duties you have demonstrated competency.
