Qualifications

• RN required and licensed to practice nursing.
• BLS within 90 days of start date.
• Associate or Bachelor degree in nursing.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education about procedures.
• Prepare patients including IV therapy and preoperative medications.
• Participate in surgical site verification per policy.
• Respond to patient emergencies and deliver evidence-based care.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, surgical techs and other staff.
• Apply nursing process, critical thinking and leadership to care delivery.
• Monitor patient condition and document changes thoroughly.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatment and follow-up.
