Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham, AL seeks an OR RN for full-time day shifts. This role provides comprehensive perioperative nursing care, including pre-, intra-, and post-operative phases, with scrubbing and assisting in surgeries.

Eligible candidates have RN licensure and basic life support certification, with incentives highlighted above. The OR RN will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to ensure safe, high-quality patient care and adherence to infection

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with nursing process and policies.
• Performs thorough patient assessments and documents findings; reports condition changes.
• Administers prescribed medications; monitors for side effects and documents administration.
• Assists physicians during procedures within documented competency.
• Develops and evaluates individualized care plans with the healthcare team.
• Responds to medical emergencies; participates in CPR and code team activities.
• Educates patients and families on conditions, plans, and post-discharge care.
• Maintains infection control protocols and safe environment for patients and staff.
• Documents care and education promptly in the medical record.
• Engages in professional development to maintain competencies.
