Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our busy operating room team in New Jersey. You will provide evidence-based nursing care, ensure patient safety, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in a high-volume setting.

The role requires a current New Jersey nursing license, active BLS/CPR, and at least 1 year of OR RN experience, with a BSN to be completed within 3 years. A national certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
• Active American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification required.
• BSN or must obtain within 3 years.
• Minimum 1 year of OR RN experience.
• National certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices according to up-to-date evidence-based research, policies, and standards of care to provide safe, individualized patient care.
• Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues, and other health care team members regarding patient status and plans.
• Medication administration using modern bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Point-of-Care electronic documentation of assessments, plans, interventions and evaluations.
• Patient and family centered education to optimize health and disease management.
• Discharging patients with safe transitions and appropriate follow-up.
