Job summary

Sovah Danville is seeking a Registered Nurse - Operating Room to join our surgical team. Shift schedule is typically 8-hour days, with rotating call from 3:00 PM–7:00 PM; contract includes an on-site OR with robotics and varied specialties.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license (single-state) or compact license.
• Associate's degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Prepares, positions, and transports patients for procedures.
• Prepares surgical and endoscopy suites with solutions, scopes, equipment, and supplies; validates proper reprocessing of scopes for every procedure.
• Assesses and cares for patients throughout the perioperative process, including pre-procedure and post-procedure care.

Education

Associate's degree in nursing

Bachelor's degree preferred
