Job summary
Sovah Danville, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Operating Room to provide perioperative care in a 10‑room suite across Orthopedics, General Surgery, OB/GYN, Urology, ENT, Spine and Pulmonary, utilizing advanced robotics.
Minimum requirements include an active RN license (VA or compact), an Associate degree in nursing, and BLS; a Bachelor's is preferred. Join a team with 15+ years of experience and a strong mentorship culture.
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Virginia or a compact state.
- Associate degree in nursing required; Bachelor's preferred.
- Basic Life Support certification required.
- Clinical experience in perioperative nursing is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Performs plan of care interventions including medication administration and perioperative care.
- Documents patient care and communicates condition to team and family.
- Prepares, positions and transports patients for procedures and manages sterile field.
- Assesses and cares for patients throughout perioperative process and ensures safety.
- Collaborates across disciplines for transfers, discharges and psychosocial support.
- Provides education to patient and family throughout perioperative care.
