Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Operating Room Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in Sterling, IL. The role involves scrubbing and/or circulating duties for operative procedures and admitting patients to the OR suite.

The nurse will report to the Nurse Manager and work under supervision of the RN in the operating rooms to which they are assigned. Travel positions require active RN licensure and BLS certification, with preference for 1 year of OR experience.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state in which he/she practices.
• Documentation and confirmation of one year of operating room clinical experience in an acute care hospital within the last three years preferred
• Current BLS card.
• Current Health Certificate (if applicable)
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray

Responsibilities

• Scrub and/or circulate in operative procedures.
• Assist with department admissions to the operative suite.
• Report to Nurse Manager and operate under the supervision of a RN in the OR.
