UChicago Medicine is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist for the OR-focused imaging team in Hyde Park, Chicago. The role emphasizes intraoperative radiography, sterile technique, and collaboration with surgical teams to deliver timely, high-quality imaging.

New graduates are welcome; training provided. The OR will be the primary home base with coverage in Adult General Radiology as needed. This is a 100% onsite opportunity serving the greater Chicagoland area.

Qualifikationen

• Associates degree in a related medical field or equivalent experience.
• Completion of an AMA-approved radiologic technology program.
• ARRT certification within one year of hire.
• Licensed by the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA).
• Proficiency in performing diagnostic imaging.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Good decision-making and judgment skills.
• Maintain required continuing education per ARRT requirements.
• Strong verbal, written and analytical skills.
• CPR certification.

Aufgaben

• Review physician orders for appropriateness of examination requested.
• Select exposure factors based on body part, pathology, patient age and equipment characteristics.
• Review images for proper positioning, technique and identification.
• Perform general diagnostic studies with proper protocol and evaluate images for diagnostic quality.
• Prepare contrast media for administration and assist in GI/GU studies.
• Adhere to HIPAA and confidentiality regulations.
• Interact with patients and staff in a friendly, professional manner using AIDET principles.
• Maintain radiology systems data and follow established workflows; train new technologists.
• Perform other duties as assigned; rotate on-call, weekends and holidays.
