Job summary

United Surgical Partners International, Inc is hiring a Full Time Radiology Technologist in Irving, TX. The role supports the OR radiology team, performing X-ray imaging with attention to radiation safety and patient care.

Requirements include ARRT certification, BLS, and 2–5 years in surgical radiology, with ortho/spine experience preferred. The position offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities within USPI’s network.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent, plus graduation from AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program.
  • Current ARRT certification and BLS certification.
  • Two to five years’ surgical radiology experience; ortho and spine experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate X-ray equipment and C-ARMS in the operating room setting.
  • Prepare patient, room, equipment, and supplies for procedures.
  • Perform quality radiology imaging and maintain safety standards.
  • Maintain QC logs and service records for inspections.
  • Support surgical team with radiology needs and documentation.

  • Performs quality diagnostic procedures accurately and in a timely manner in surgery for Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Las Colinas.


Qualifications

Education:



  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Graduate of AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology


License:



  • Current & Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologies (ARRT) Certificate

  • Current BLS certification


Required Experience:



  • Two to five years’ experience specific to surgical radiological exam

  • Ortho and Spine experience required


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities


  • Demonstrates responsibility for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards of electric shock, burns and extraneous radiation to patients

  • Demonstrates ability to assess data, prioritize care, and plan interventions dependent on the age group of the population served.

  • Demonstrates ability to discuss treatment/service and to provide education information to patients/families in age group served

  • Ability to utilize Electronic Healthcare Record for patient documentation.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities


  • The OR Radiology Technician operates X-ray equipment, C-ARMS and prepares patient’s room, equipment, and supplies.

  • Provides patient services using imaging modalities.

  • Practices proper radiation safety techniques on all exams preformed.

  • Performs all Quality control checks, as prescribed.

  • Maintains accurate QC logs, service records, etc.

  • Performs highest quality imaging consistent with prescribed examination: documents and deviation

  • Practices surgical aseptic procedures

  • Investigates promptly and follows up on unusual incidents and communicates with Direct

  • Takes emergency call as assigned
