Job summary

Commonwealth Eye Surgery is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide expert nursing care in a perioperative setting. The RN assesses patients, plans and implements care, and communicates with the surgical team under the supervision of the ASC Nurse Administrator/Director.

The ideal candidate will hold Kentucky RN licensure, have BLS certification, and preferably ACLS within one year. Ambulatory surgery/hospital experience is preferred. This role requires flexibility to work across areas as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Kentucky.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred (within one year of hire).
• Recent ambulatory surgery or hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert professional nursing care; assess, plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Document nursing orders; develop goals and expected outcomes.
• Assist in pre- and post-operative care and discharge planning.
• Promote safety and quality of patient care.
